Renewal of planning permission on land at Whitchurch Hospital (20/00357/MJR)

We wrote to the Minister for Housing and Local Government, at the Welsh Government, to ask that she called in the decision whether to grant an extension to the original 20-year old permissions to build houses, leisure facilities, and a 200-bed hospital on the Meadows and in Whitchurch Hospital.

So much has changed in the time since the original granting of permission (on appeal after it was originally refused). Significantly we believe, the planning framework, the environmental guidance, and Welsh Government’s own advice suggest this application, based on what we have now, should be refused.
