Following a enquiry we raised with officers about the safety and levels of the pavement at the corner of Merthyr Road and Bishops Road, it has been reviewed and will be upgraded. This was following reports received that a wheelchair user had toppled over!

Following inspection it was agreed that there appears to be excessive gradient on the corner, therefore the council will look to carry out improvement works to reduce the gradient and install tactile paving at the crossing point.

We don’t have a schedule for the works at this stage other to say it is more likely to be in the new financial year starting in April.
