Married to Barrie with 3 children and 6 grandchildren, Linda was born and bred in Tongwynlais, attending Tongwynlais Primary and Caerphilly Grammar.
She studied music at the Welsh College of Music and Drama. Linda has lived for the most part of her life in Tongwynlais but also for a short time in Whitchurch. Linda works as a freelance musician but also teaches in Tongwynlais Primary and Whitchurch Primary schools. She enjoys walking, table tennis and of course music. Linda is a founder member and Musical Director of the Castell Coch choral society which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
She is a community councillor in Tongwynlais, Chairman of Tongwynlais Village Hall, Secretary of Council Churches, Chairman of Tongwynlais Summer and Christmas festivals and of the Whitchurch Festival committee, following on from her father the late Winston Griffiths who was councillor for many years in Whitchurch and Tongwynlais. Linda also attends St Michael’s church where she is Sunday School Leader.
Linda is passionate about the two villages believing that to represent them as a councillor you should live in, work in and share in the worries and concerns and joys of the community. She also believes strongly – “give a busy person a task and it will be done”.
